Can you earn money with blogging?

Yes, you can but it's not that easy as it looks. You need to improve your blogging knowledge and skills to be earning a good amount of money. Some bloggers are earning enough to purse it as a career. Take Harsh Agarwal, an Indian blogger for example who adopted blogging as a career and is earning a respectable amount of income. There are hundreds of other examples. But the point is to make yourself improved enough to reach that level.

There are many ways by which you can earn money through blogging like monetization(ads), freelance blog writing and affiliate marketing, which is a matter for some other post.

Why should I blog?

The main purpose of blogging should be providing value to the readers. I have given the examples in the start of the post that how can your posts solve people queries. Blogging for the sake of money can land you nowhere.

What can I blog about?

Anything. Well there are hundreds of topics on which you can write. It depends on your taste.

How can I start blogging?

You can start blogging on Free Platforms like Blogger, WordPress and Tumblr (yourblogname.subdomain.com e.g). However, if you can spend some money 💰 you can also start by buying your own domain (yourdomain.com e.g), install a blogging platform of your choice and start blogging.

Which Blogging platform is the best?

  • Blogger (Free version/subdomain) for beginners. You can carry on with Blogger as well. No problem in that. Plus it's free. You can start with WordPress free version as well (for those with who are not familiar with a little bit of html coding)
  • WordPress (Hosted version). It's best for advanced level bloggers.

Advice: I will suggest you to go with free blogger first. It's pretty simple, basic and have more options of customization as compared to the free version of WordPress. Later on as you build your expertise, you can shift to a hosted WordPress to level up your Blogging. Happy Blogging!
